I meant to post a checklist to the new Batman R.I.P. story arc but it slipped my mind until now, so to anyone who doesn’t already know, here you go:

Batman #676-681
Detective Comics #846-850
Nightwing #147-150
Robin #175-176
Batman and the Outsiders #11-13

I’m not sure in which order they are to be read, I couldn’t find that information But I can say that the first tie to be released will be Robin #175 to be released June 18, 2008. Enjoy!

Last night I stumbled upon a preview of one of DC’s new upcoming series’ entitled Trinity. Grouping together DC’s Big Three Characters, Batman, Superman, & Wonder Woman. Now this title has been a LONG time coming, one must wonder what took them so long to finally do this. Now that they finally have it of course, draws concerns from some fans and excitement to others. One main concern is the art. How will it look? Will it be half-assed or will it be groundbreaking? Secondly the story. When launching a new series it is a MUST to kick it off with a strong story arc, lacking to do so can result in ultimate failure.

With that said here’s a link to the preview

I’m not entirely sure whether it’s a sample released by DC to give it’s readers a taste of whats to come, or if it’s pages from the actual book. Either way, it looks promising.

Batman R.I.P.

Out of all of those whom have ever written for Batman, Grant Morrison is the most suited man to write Batman R.I.P. With that said, this is one of the greatest issues of Batman I have ever read. As soon as you open the cover of this issue you are greeted with a very memorable piece of art with Batman standing while Robin crouches beneath. Both standing in an aggressive pose with Batman screaming, “You’re Wrong! Batman and Robin will NEVER die!” It carries on, giving small glimpses of the Black Glove and finishes it all off beautifully by introducing The Joker in to the story. This is definitely a GREAT lead off to what promises to be one of the most important Batman stories ever told.
